On October 11-13, 2024, The Caverns is proud to present the third annual CaveFest, featuring a curated line-up of music over three days as well as on-site camping, open underground jam sessions, cave tours, delicious food trucks, local vendors, free access to shower trailers & climate-controlled bathroom trailers with flushable toilets, and more.
CaveFest 2024 line-up includes Railroad Earth, The Travelin’ McCourys, Yonder Mountain String Band, Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn, The Grateful Ball featuring The Travelin’ McCoury and special guests, Jim Lauderdale & The Game Changers, Lindsay Lou, The Larry Keel Experience, Sicard Hollow, Big Richard, Arkansauce, John Mailander’s Forecast, Clay Street Unit, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, The Sweet Lillies, La Terza Classe, Colby T. Helms & The Virginia Creepers, Slay & Stinson, Uncle John’s Banjo, and Three Tall Pines, plus 3 Late Night Shows hosted by Airshow with Special Guests, artists-in-residence Lindsay Lou and John Mailander, and emcee Larry Nager.
“Now in our 3rd year, CaveFest is a signature festival at The Caverns,” says The Caverns owner Todd Mayo, “The community of bands and fans, the idyllic setting—both above and below ground— and Tennessee’s beautiful autumn weather, it’s all a recipe for a magical weekend in Grundy County.”
During its first two years, CaveFest attracted guests from every one of the lower 48 states. The festival takes full advantage of what The Caverns has to offer both above and below the Earth’s surface. The Caverns Amphitheater, with its spacious area for chairs and dancing, will host the headlining performances while providing breathtaking views of the majestic Cumberland Plateau. The Caverns world-famous underground concert hall will offer a 2nd stage for additional performances, late night shows hosted by Airshow with special guests, daily open jam sessions, a sound bath, and cave yoga.
Naturally, CaveFest will also feature cave tours and subterranean adventures, providing guests with the opportunity to delve deep and explore The Caverns cave system. Guided walking tours will be offered through The Caverns otherworldly Big Room Cave, where the enthralling history of the region, cave geology and mythology intertwine. Those seeking an adrenaline rush can opt for an Adventure Cave Tour that will take them beyond "Tombstone Pass" to witness an underground river, soda straw formations, and other fascinating sights.
Tickets, Packages & Add-Ons
Tickets includes admission to all shows, including late night, as well as camping each night of the festival (Fri., Sat., & Sun.). Free access to shower trailers and climate-controlled bathroom trailers. Kids 12 & under are free.

$1 from every CaveFest ticket will go to the Sewanee Mountain Grotto to support cave conservation efforts.

Experience the ultimate festival luxury with our CaveFest VIP Yurt package for two! Stay in our spacious 300 sq ft yurt located in The Caverns’ Yurt Village, nestled in a secluded glade within our campground. Enjoy private climate-controlled accommodations with a bathroom, hot shower, comfortable bed, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and a private deck. With two parking spaces included, simply park and immerse yourself in the festival while having a cozy retreat nearby. Yurt packages are for two (2) people and require the purchase of two (2) CaveFest tickets.

Travel light and show up at CaveFest with a large Eureka! cabin tent waiting on you in our VIP village. From there, it's a short walk along the footpath to the CaveFest stages above and below ground.
VIP Large Pre-Pitched Tent Package w/ 2 Cots for 2 people - $950 per person / $1,900 per package, plus tax & fees - includes 2 cots, 2 TETON sleeping pads, 2 camp chairs, 1 night stand and 1 tent light, plus a 10x10 canopy with 1 large camp table and 1 canopy light. Immerse yourself in nature and luxury perks with a VIP Camping Package at CaveFest! If you’d like, set up early on Thursday. Your reserved campsite will be in a VIP section of the campground, which is close to the start of the footpath to amphitheater and cave stages.
Oversized vehicles, including pull-behind trailers, must purchase a Oversize/RV Camping Pass Add On (limited availability). Everyone in the vehicle must have a VIP camping pass.
Package for 1 includes:
- One (1) 3-Day VIP Ticket.
- Four night camping in the VIP Village, Oct 10-13. Bring your own tent.

Hydration
Please stay hydrated! Water stations will be available in the campgrounds and inside the amphitheater behind the concessions building. Please also bring your own water, too.
WIFI & CELL SERVICE
Wifi is typically available in the amphitheater by joining the network “caverns guest” using the password “thecaverns." Wifi is not available in the campground and cell service can be spotty depending on the weather/provider.
