Keep looking forward and your patience and understanding will be reflected right back atcha!

What defines a car camping space?

A roughly 20' x 20' spot including the space for your vehicle and tents for 4 humans, that all arrive together in 1 vehicle. You may not buy extra campsites around a single vehicle - you will get as many spots as you have cars AND camping passes.

What if I want to camp next to my friends?

You MUST arrive together. No saving spaces. No exceptions. What if they are only 20 minutes / 2 hours behind you? Meet at a gas station/rest area/Walmart and drive in together.

Why do we all have to arrive together?

Every vehicle entering the campground must have its own pass. If there are 4 of you, in 2 separate vehicles arriving at different times, and only 1 of you has the camping pass, we cannot check in everyone with 1 ticket. Once the car camping pass is scanned, anybody else arriving now has no pass. We will be trying to quickly and efficiently check in hundreds of campers with smiles on our faces. We are grateful for your understanding!

When will be the best time to arrive if I can't come on Thursday?

Your best chance to avoid long lines will be arriving after the morning rush at 9a on Friday. Arriving after 11a should be a better window.

I want to park next to my RV-camping friends. Can we all camp in car camping?

As long as you all arrive together, you may all camp in the tent-camping area. If you do not all arrive together, saving space is not allowed. As a courtesy to your tent-camping neighbors, RVs in the tent-camping area may not run their generators.

Can we leave after setting up camp?

You will not be locked in, however we strongly encourage you to remain parked for the weekend. Driving in the campground creates dust and/or mud and is potentially hazardous for pedestrians. If you have an urgent situation, you may leave, but you must drive through check-in going and returning so we can check your credentials.

Is there quiet camping?

There will be a limited number of "quiet" camping spaces available upon request near campground check-in. Please let staff know at checkin if you would like to camp in quiet camping.

Can I have a campfire?

Yes, but fires must be contained, off the ground and you must always monitor your fire. If you leave your site for any reason the fire must be completely extinguished. A limited number of fire pits will be available for rent at the campgrounds store. Ground fires will be extinguished. Please dump hot ashes in the red metal barrels provided.

Is there ice and firewood for sale?

Yes. There are also a limited number of firepits available for rent. The campground store is located near the entrance road in the blue Salamander Bluegrass Underground bus, please see the event map for the exact location.

If you have attended one of our events in the past, you can be sure that some things will be different this time. Please be kind to our staff, as many of them weren't here last time. Keep looking forward and your patience and understanding will be reflected right back atcha!

What if I arrive early/late?

Lining up on the road is not permitted and there is no place for RVs to turn around once you reach our property. This does not mean we will let you in early. It means you may have to make a 37-point turn to go back. Please do not arrive before the gates open. If you arrive after 9p, you may sleep in your RV in line at the check-in booth until we open at 9a the following morning.

Where is RV Camping?

The end of Lot A, closest to the footpath, beside our craft vendors, is our designated RV Camping area for this event. You will still enter with all other campers at Gate 4. See map.

What can I put in an RV Camping Pass space?

6 humans, that all arrive together, and anything else you want that fits into a 40' x 20' space.

Why do we all have to arrive together?

If there are 6 of you, in 3 separate vehicles arriving at different times, and only 1 of you has the RV pass, we cannot check in everyone with 1 ticket. Once the RV pass is scanned, anybody else arriving now has no pass.

We are arriving separately from our RV. What credentials or information do we need to provide at check-in?

Unless you are renting an RV and having it delivered, you MUST arrive with your RV. No exceptions. If you are having your RV delivered, you must provide us with the first and last names of the people arriving separately but who are staying in the RV, as well as the delivery company/driver. Do not give your driver your RV camping pass. Please complete this form to provide us your RV information. We recommend purchasing a Thursday early entry pass to make delivery easier on your driver.

We are having our RV delivered. How will I find it?

Have your delivery driver drop a pin, take a photo, describe the location/neighboring vehicles, and leave your name on a sign in the front window of your RV. Our staff will not be able to locate your RV for you.

I bought an RV pass but only have a car (or two). That's cool, right?

Sure. All that luxurious space! But you will be camping amongst other RVs and may have to listen to generators.

What do I do with the car I'll have in addition to my RV?

If you all arrive together, there are a maximum of 6 of you, and the car fits within your allocated 40' x 20' space, it can park next to your RV. If it does not fit or arrives separately, they will have to purchase a separate camping pass for that vehicle. We will ask you to move if the vehicle is in the road or encroaching on someone else's space.

Our friends want to tent-camp next to us. Can they?

Your RV spot will be roughly 40' x 20'. If there are a maximum of 6 of you, they arrive with you and can fit their vehicle and tent within that space, they may do so. If they do not arrive with you, if there is room, they can carry their things over and camp with you, but they must have their own camping pass for their vehicle to enter the campground. Parking is different this year. They will not be able to park next to you if you do not arrive together.

I want to park my RV next to several tent-camping friends. Do I have to park in the designated RV area?

As long as you all arrive together, you may camp in the tent-camping area. If you do not all arrive together, saving space is not allowed. As a courtesy to your tent-camping neighbors, RVs in the tent-camping area may not run their generators.

Are there water or electric hookups?

No. Camping is primitive. There are porta potties.

Are there generator quiet hours?

Yes. Generator (and general) quiet time is from 11p to 7a. If your generator is running during these hours, we, or your neighbors, may ask you to turn it off.

Can I bring my dog/goat/parrot?

No. Pets are not allowed. If you arrive at the venue with your dog, you will not be permitted entrance. All tickets are non-refundable.
