Questions About Outdoor Shows
Common Questions Outdoor Shows at The Caverns Amphitheater
Where do we park for our amphitheater show at The Caverns? +
Parking for all amphitheater patrons is in the lots along Charlie Roberts Road just after you pass the church at the bend in the road. Please do not drive up to The Caverns gift shop. All patrons will park in the amphitheater lots and walk the footpath to the amphitheater. If you purchased a camping pass please follow signs to the camping entrance. Parking is included with the price of your ticket.
What if someone in our car cannot walk the footpath? +
No problem, let the parking attendants know that you need to park in accessible parking prior to entering the amphitheater lot. They will direct you to accessible parking onsite closer to the venue and help drive the person in who needs assistance. Please feel free to reach out to us ahead of time at firstname.lastname@example.org with any specific requests or questions. After the show please stay in your area and once the crowd has thinned out we can drive the vehicle into the venue to begin transporting. Please note that only the car with the person who needs assistance may park onsite, you will have to meet each other in the venue once the doors open.
What time can I arrive for my ampitheater show? +
For most amphitheater shows, the parking lot opens at 3p CT. Come early and tailgate! Please note, parking for the amphitheater is offsite. Please see the venue map and look for signage on the way in. The amphitheater parking lots are located off of Charlie Roberts Road past the camping entrance. There will be signage directing you to day parking. Please follow the signs and staff directions. Please do not enter the campgrounds unless you have a camping ticket.
What’s the terrain like and how long is the walk? +
The Caverns Amphitheater is an outdoor musical venue in a natural setting. You will be walking on uneven gravel, grass, and wood chips and we recommend you wear outdoor sneakers or shoes. Please do not wear your high heels, you will not have much fun in them. The path from parking to the venue is approximately 1,200 ft with some minor elevation changes and uneven terrain. If you or someone in your party may not be able to make the walk, please email email@example.com with your specific situation and we can arrange onsite parking for you. Only the vehicle with the person unable to make the walk will be permitted to park onsite.
A cave tour is included with my package or ticket purchase. Where do I go to take my tour and when? +
You can take your tour anytime between 9a CT and 5p CT. Tours leave on the hour, every hour, and they’re offered on first come, first serve basised for up to 25 people per tour. Please let the parking attendants know you’re taking a tour and they’ll allow you to pass the camping and day parking lots and proceed to the Gift Shop building onsite where cave tours depart. You may temporarily park onsite while you take your tour. After your tour please proceed back down the road to amphitheater parking. If you are unable to take your tour the day of the show, your tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
I didn’t buy a package that came with a cave tour, but we’d like to take a tour while we’re at The Caverns, can we? +
Yes! Cave tours can be booked online in advance, book yours here. Walk-ups accepted on the day of the show based on availability. If you’re planning to walk up, please call (931) 516-9724 in advance to check on availability.
Can we bring our own chairs or blankets? +
Yes! Please bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the show. If you purchased reserved seating you will have a seat provided by the venue. Please have all blankets and chairs out of bags and ready for inspection at the security checkpoint. Whenever possible, please bring chairs low to the ground to help those behind you see the stage better.
I bought reserved seating for my show, where do I go? +
For most amphitheater shows, our reserved seating will be the closest sections to the stage. You will get a comfortable plastic adirondack style chair to enjoy the show. For most shows, reserved seating patrons will have exclusive access to our underground music venue to use the bathrooms, the private bar and check out merch. To access the cave, walk to the right of the stage and follow the path down to the cave. You can also use the outdoor concessions, food trucks and the porta potties. If you have trouble finding your seats one of our ushers will happily assist you.
I have general admission lawn tickets, where do I sit? +
You can sit almost anywhere you want. Find your favorite vantage point and kick back and enjoy. General admission lawn tickets do not provide access to the reserved seating area up close to the stage or the underground venue. Please enjoy the concessions, food trucks and porta potties at the back of the venue.
Where are the bathrooms? +
Porta-potties are located at the back of the venue behind the concessions area. If you purchased reserved seats you may choose to use either the outdoor porta potties at the back of the venue or take advantage of your exclusive access to our underground venue’s bathrooms, bar and merchandise. To get to the cave, head to the right of the stage and follow the path down.
Since we’re outside, can I smoke? +
No, smoking is only allowed in certain areas behind concessions and in the mouth of the cave. Nothing against smokers, but smoke can easily travel into someone else’s face making for an unpleasant experience. Please look for the smoking permitted signs or ask an usher or security staff member for the closest smoking section.
What happens if severe weather occurs? +
All shows are rain or shine—yes, even in wet weather. If you are asked to temporarily leave the venue and you have general admission tickets, please calmly head back to your cars. If you’re in the reserved seating section, please head down to the underground venue. We work with local weather specialists to attempt to identify dangerous weather in the area. In the event of severe weather, we will communicate to patrons via our main stage PA and our social channels. We recommend you check out our social media for an official post regarding the show prior to leaving the parking lots/venue. Most severe weather passes quickly and the show may commence within 30 minutes.

Can I bring food or drinks into the venue?
You’re welcome to tailgate in the parking lots or camping before your show, but we do not allow any outside food or beverage into the venue. We do offer a wide variety of soft drinks, snacks, food, beer, wine, premixed cocktails, champagne and more. In the amphitheater, food trucks will be available for most shows. You must be 21 years of age or older and provide valid ID to purchase alcoholic beverages. There is no potable water onsite. We do sell canned water at all concessions areas.

For all concerts, food and drink are available for purchase. We have locally-sourced sandwiches including a vegetarian option, chips, and snacks available for purchase. We kindly ask you to leave your own food and drink outside of the cave. You can enjoy your munchies and drinks in the parking lot, but no outside food and drinks are allowed inside the music venues. Be sure to show your valid ID at the box office if you’re planning to drink alcohol.
Can I camp at The Caverns after the show?
Car camping is available for most shows at The Caverns as a separate ticket. Every car, truck, SUV, minivan or other standard vehicle will need a Car Camping Pass to enter The Caverns’ camping area (think of it like a ticket for your car). For RVs longer than 20', please purchase the amount of camping passes you'll need for your RV to fit (for example, 26" RV, you'll need two camping passes). For any questions, email us at email@example.com.
Campsite sizes are roughly 20’x20' and vehicles must fit within the 20x20’ space. You may NOT buy extra campsites around a single vehicle. There is no “per person” camping fee for most shows. So, for example, if you have 3 people coming in one car, you only need 1 Car Camping Pass.
Only “rough” camping is currently available. This means we provide you a 20x20’ flat grassy area for you, your car and your tents. There are port-a-potties, but no potable water available and no electrical or water hookups onsite. Fire rings are available to rent and firewood is available for purchase on-site. Only campsites with rented fire rings can have a campfire. Everyone entering the camping area must have purchased a ticket for the show that evening.
Access to the campsite will typically be at 3p CT on the day of your show and all campers must vacate the campsite by 10a CT the following morning unless you have a ticket for the show the next night. You will need a Car Camping Pass for each night you’re staying onsite.
I have a GiftUp gift card, but I'm having trouble redeeming it for tickets. Can you help?
Absolutely. There's a known issue with gift cards and pod-based shows/packages, but don't worry. Please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll help you out!
